This is my custom painted and detailed C&NW C628 6727. This locomotive was a project started by a previous owner and then sold to me. It had the yellow painted by the previous owner before my dad and I painted the green and added grab irons, a beacon, and other details.  |

Looks great! Nice to see an old N&W unit repainted. N&W bought the C628's new with the high hood. For some reason they were not happy with them and sold them to CNW.
CNW first leased these locos and N&W proposed the sale which CNW agreed to.

Very nice looking model. Saw these in Michigan while in the US in 1985, beast of a unit. I have one in N-Scale. A pity the CNW didn't purchase the N&W C-630's which was proposed at one point.
