The one flaw with AthG is that they do not give you enough wire when you take off the shell. I was wondering, is it feasible to splice the headlight wiring and add some so every time you have to go into the motor your not yanking out the headlight like I just did?
Thanks JC.

Splicing wire is no big deal, the trick is to make sure that when you wrap it up you do a good job as its a bad thing when bare wire touch the inside of the locomotive. I would look into shrink tubbing which is availble at most hobbyshops and electroic stores. One thing I did was to add little tiny jones plugs or something similar. That way if I need to take the shell off I just unplug the wires instead of undoing everything. Also I put a little dab of clear silicon on the wire near the headlight housing to keep them from pulling out.

Yup, what was said No big deal, but there are issues that you start to get into. In general most of us just replace the bulbs and that allows us to use the wires of longer length. Make sure you use a good heat shrink to cover the wire and make sure you bundle it all up well so that the extra wires won't be in the way and rub.

I like both ideas though, I'm figuring out how I'd deal with all the extra wire plus, they have it running through on the floor of the interior. Which makes for an crowded cab! What about an hollow tube run under the floor or on the cab ceiling although, it would probably be a lot of work. BTW,I always seem to bust the lights. They use glue to hold them in I think. JC.
