Artur, great work! However, I think the engineer's side number board needs a small bit of attention....

Artur, They look great! Who made the handrail stanchions? Thanks, the stanchions are a mix of Kaslo photo etched and the longer ones are Athearn notched out.

What are you using as a starting point for E8s?
Eventually, when I get off this freight car program, I have some E8s in the stack. Plan is to graft Genesis F noses on BLI E8 shells. P2K E units have pretty bad dimensions and are only worth it if they come factory detailed for your prototype (i.e., Southern with roof tanks)

those handrail stanchions look really good! are they durable? there are no more smokey valley stanchions and the kv models dont have a very good mounting system.

i deal with tmr as well, he is the best as he dont rip me off on the shipping. i remember the psc stanchions from years ago and the had a conical mounting pin which i didnt thing was good, did they change that? i have couple p2k gp-60 locomotives that need handrails and you cannot get parts from walthers.

I never use them before I've just ordered PSC 3936 plastic stanchions, will see how they work out. They have pre drilled holes for the handrail wire so that will be nice. I'm looking for something that's less of a chore to install.

Artur,
Let us know how those PSC plastic stanchions work out. I am in the same position as dmdmn as I need to do some GP and SD 60's.

Artur beautiful builds love them
Do you know where I would need to cut down a 116" or 123" cannon snoot to make a Canadian 106" snoot

Not that but how do I shorten a cannon nose from the front or from the back to take the amount off

I would cut it from the back. Also using a razor slice off any details from the sides of the nose to relocate them if needed after you shorten the nose.
