Let me expand on that. I've scored some Athearn Flexicoil sideframes from an SW1500. Actually complete trucks. However, the trucks can't be used in the application I want to use them. I may be able to use Atlas' MP15 truck, but those come I believe with only Blomberg trucks. Details West has (had?) available an adapter to mount Athearn sideframes onto Atlas trucks, wonder if anyone here has done that or at least know it'll fit. The SW sideframes are a shorter wheelbase. I use to have Brian Banna's email (the creator of the part) and I would ask him if I could contact him, but I've lost it somehow

Sadly, our friend Brian has stepped away from the hobby for a while and has not responded to any contacts. Perhaps he will return in the near future.

The Flexicoils should be a 8'-0" wheelbase, whereas anything Blomberg should be 9'-0". I say "should" because there can always be liberties taken with model dimensions.
Anyway, the AAR type A truck is also an 8'-0" wheelbase, so if you can get your hands on some Atlas Alco switcher trucks, and figure out how to get the Athearn frames mounted to them, you should have pretty accurate results. I suppose your other option might be a set of Rapido sw1200rs trucks, but I have no idea if Rapido parts are ever available, nor if they would suit your application.
In O, Atlas offers an sw8/9/1200 model, with both AAR type A's and Flexicoils as options. The two frames are interchangeable on the gearbox, although the Flexicoils are heavily compromised to match the mounting tabs for the type A's.

Atlas also does an MP15 truck which is an 8' wheelbase. I'm acquiring these, they are available. It's my hope, tho' weak, that the 8' Atlas gear case used the same spacing for the mounting bosses as did the 9'. That's pretty unlikely of course but one can hope. If the bosses do match, the DW part may fit it. Other methods to mount the sideframes to these gear cases will probably have to be discovered Lyle D

The MP15 truck shouldn't be an 8' wheelbase, as it's the standard EMD Blomberg truck.
Would like to see pictures next to a ruler if you can.

Agree, any mp15 switcher variant should employ Blombergs, at 9'-0". A better bet would be the the Alco HH600 truck, which should be an 8'-0" wheelbase, appears to have a very similar gear case design to the Blomberg, and full truck assemblies are showing in stock at Atlas at the moment. Atlas truck assemblyAtlas part diagramBy the way, from looking at the parts diagrams on the Atlas site, for both Blombergs and Alco switcher trucks, the pin spacing for the side frames appears to be slightly different. then I may be a victim of bad data. Found some online data (and everything on the internet is accurate of course) that described the MP15DC wheel base as 8'. Guess I didn't dig deep enough to confirm that. The trucks are on their way so I'll have those for some other possible project down the road
