Hi all,
A buddy of mine would like to know if Burlington Northern ever ran the EMDE6A in their paint as it could be a repaint for him after a search he has come up with nothing any pictures of them if they exist would be welcome ...

No, the BN only ever had E7's, E8's and E9's. Even then the E7's were much rarer than the E8/9's.
Out of all the member roads, only the CB&Q had anything that looked like an E6. These were the fluted side E5's built for the Zephyrs, of which one still exists at the Illinois Railway Museum in Union, IL. I'm pretty sure that the others were rebuilt as E9Am's.

CB&Q had E5s too. they were similar to the E6. They had stainless steel sides. www.trainboard.com/railimages/showphoto.php/photo/25312This is a model of one that I found on train board. I think that there is a adhesive backed metal foil that could be used to have the right shine.
