Can anyone direct me in the right direction as i picked up another Walthers bay window waycar.
I would like to use better metal wheels and heard something about 0.110 wheels if i'm correct.
As I don't need proto87's i'll be using code 83 manufactured track.
What would the recommended brand be i'm tight on money and only need 4 axles for this one project at present also would these be 33" or 36" diameter wheels
Appreciate any help.

Thanks RCH Bobbie I'm more at a loss of what axle length I need for this waycar.
Not good with fine measurements like this as I don't have a caliper to work with.

All of the sources mentioned by Ryan have the correct axle length for Walthers trucks. My preference is Kadee, as they have always worked for me.

Stupid question Without a caliper which axle length do I need as I noticed the one that lists Walters has several different axle lengths. The difference might not be much but don't need an axle coming out of the truck. Thanks again and sorry for being ignorant.

Without a caliper, I would suggest getting the Reboxx test wheel set. IIRC, There are three or four axle lengths in today's market and the test set allows you to check which fits your Walthers trucks the best. There should be a little side-to-side slop in the truck frame, but if all are too tight, no worries. Micro-Mark has a truck reamer to help get a little more clearance. It does a good job of smoothing the axle journal pocket on metal side frames, not so much on the acetal plastic ones.
