I am not quite sure it is 100% correct. At first glance and looking my pictures, I think whomever made the original used a SD80 body and not a SD90. I place to look is the rear of the long hood. There were differences in the design of the end due to a larger sand box design for the SD80.

From what I can tell its prototypically accurate or very close to the SD70ACU, I'm just concerned about quality. The walkway does not detach but it does appear to have kato pins and he suggests the kato sd90 chassis for it. The cab does not detach as well so lights might be a little troublesome. Everything else in my eyes looks fine.
Would really appreciate if anybody knew how to remove the speaker from a kato locomotive so I can change the shell out. (the speaker is roof mounted with some material that can be indented easily with a knife, silicone?)
Thanks!

Ok, I managed to get it completely disassembled (inlcuding the speaker) and now I just need to decide if that SD70ACU shell is worth it or should I put an ace cab on the front and kitbash the section behind the conductors side of the cab. I don't think I have the ability to kit bash that though.
Thanks Matt

That's the old big dawg models shell cmr bought him out and is now selling his shells.
Buyer beware I got screwed on 2 expensive shells I can't use they were so bad detail wise.
Just an FYI.

So that's a no? I still have the sd90 shell so I can kit bash but I would need an Ace cab and I would have to do some modifications to this section here trains21.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/NS-SD70ACU-1.jpgAcquiring an Ace cab may be expensive and I don't know how I would connect it to the rest of the kato shell.
