January 1977. Kennecott Copper had the first units with Phase 2 equipment arrangement.

According to sources, in January of 1977 Electro Motive Division introduced the "Phase 2" equipment arrangement on Kennecott Copper motive power.

KCCX 905 was built in December of 76, delivered in January of 77. It is the last unit with old equipment and body arrangement.
