I finally received my Athearn Ohio Central Gp35's in the mail today only to have my worst fear realized. The preproductions photos are the same as the finished productions pieces. The entire walkway is grey rather than black like the prototype. This will essentially require tearing the whole loco apart to mask and paint the walkways. I know that many were complaining about fantasy schemes, which I could care less about, but at least get the prototype ones you do right.

Shouldn't require a complete teardown, eh? Just pop the handrails off, mask along the bottom of the hood and along the side-sill and steps and shoot a couple light passes of flat-black?
The Atlas R&S GP40's came with black tread, but for SOME unknown reason the B&P GP38 had orange walkways, i did this method to correct the problem.
