Glad to be of service. I really liked the GP39E,V, and M. For a while power was really short. We got some really junk leased units, but also some unusual consists. Sometimes we had these on the road. I was in engineer training, and had a unit grain train. All the power was 4 axle, including a couple of these rebuilds, a GP38, and a B23-7.

Don't doubt that Spike the gp39m,v,e's were still fairly new when I was a bn railrat we almost always ended up with a worn out SW or GP9 but wouldnt trade that memory for anything.

As much as I liked the GP39 rebuilds, and the GP28 too, I liked the old stuff. It was neat to see how well I could run, while using the old # 6, or 24RL brakes. The old geeps, and SD9s had character.

You mean the application (now let's wait and okay they are grabbing brakes huh) remember well. And nothing like a trio of GP's or SD's Don't forget to add in the bucking of cars while switching with the air bled off in the cars
