Hey y'all, My name is Calvin and I'm from Prince Edward Island Canada. As the title says I'm new here but also brand new to the hobby- so new in fact that I haven't even built a layout yet as I don't have room at the moment. But, I do have room to do some detailing and painting and what better way to learn than by just jumping in. I plan to model the CNR as it ran on PEI between the mid 50s to early 60s, this will allow me to have a mixture of CN olive and yellow + CN noodle livery running on my layout among other things. To start, I've picked up the CN #1 44 Tonner by Bachmann and on the way I have a pair of their GE 70 Tonners in black. The 70 Tonners will be my first crack at detailing and eventually painting. Thanks for having me!

Welcome! You have embarked on a wonderful journey, congratulations. (Remember it's all about the journey, not the destination.) No room for a layout? Suggest you check this site model-railroad-hobbyist.com/Current issue - it's free -Page 10 specifically, may give you an idea on how to start "Small". Again, Welcome to Diesel Detailer.

Thanks very much! I had subscribed to that just the other day, but hadn't yet gotten around to reading through it yet. This is actually great for my purposes, thanks for that!
