New to the board, back in model railroading

Hi All,

My name is Brant Weems and I live in Peachtree City, GA.  My father and I were trackside watching trains in Macon, GA before I could walk and I was building model trains with him soon thereafter.  He actually owned the Macon Hobby Shop for several years in the 80s.  He was my 'go to' for railroad information but he passed away at Thanksgiving.  I'm getting back into the hobby and needed a place to search for good info about modeling and this looks like the perfect place.  Looking forward to browsing the threads here.

Welcome, Brant. Sorry to hear about your pop. My dad started a radio control hobby shop when my brother and I were into that stuff many years ago. I can certainly relate to having a supportive and resourceful parent encouraging me in my hobbies.

I used to live in Newnan about 25 years ago. I always liked that part of the world. Lots of inspiration for modeling there!
