Working on UP's first A/B-combo for the 'City of Denver' of 1936 I finished the paint job this winter - however, there's still some work to do, e.g. lettering, fitting windows, designing some king of diaphragm etc. As usual, the early beginnings of the project looked really ugly - well, not astonishing taking into account that the basic matrials were foam, a lot of steel tube and wooden fiber board After this rough surface of the shell a lot of resin and glass-fibers were used to get something more 'prototyically'. As mentioned, it is the A/B-combo Back to the more demanding & interesting A-unit - now with a steel pilot and on trucks With a gel-coat layer And more details... And a look to the drive-line - 3kW of nominal power by the four motors After setting app. 8.500 small nails as rivets I finally started with painting the units and the B-unit Looking forward for spring to have a 'roll-out' of the painted combo. The first car of the CoD, an aux. power-baggage, is currently under construction and will serve as a engneer's car Scale is 1.6" to the foot, so app. 9'6" for the A-unit and 8'8" for the B-unit; will run on 7.25" tracks common here in Europe Regards Norman

While I can't say I am very fond of the prototype, you did an amazing job on the models!
