Indeed, I learned about the Cannon fans on this forum and am planning to have them installed on my GP9s too. Looks like a good start so far.

I installed an Atlas SD-24 cab and Detail Associates lights to my NKP GP-9 build today. In my haste to post some project photos, I didn't realize I forgot to dust the plastic residue from the shell before I took the pix.

Argggh! SD24 cab?!?! I never thought of that! Now I have to handcut the window glass for my FR GP. Great idea!

Well as usual, I'm waiting for parts. Anyone got a set of GP-9 photo etched footboards they want to sell?

Randy, this is very nice! I have a fleet of FR GP9s for my proto freelance. The right sized rad grills make it look lots better. I just don't know if I can spare the expense for 1/2 dozen.
Is it true that Athearn trucks fit FR frames? I would at least like good runners, and replace the Tapp (crap) trucks. The can motors look good.

Yes they fit, the inside of the battery boxes may need trimming with a file though.
