I recall someone producing a very nice metal version of this window, but alas I can no longer find it. Does anyone have better info on it?

Use some .005" or .010" clear styrene for your window panes and non-fogging glue from the inside. Works great on mine.

Athearn has one now on the CNW rebuilt geep. If you can tough it out with the parts people who are not modelers, Athearn has almost everything available separately. I don't think they had it previously.
I have a few of the MLE parts, but haven't assembled one yet to compare it to the Athearn casting. So I can't say yet how much better the casting looks than the etching.

I looked at the CNW GP9 that Athearn has but it uses the older style window. The modern 3-pane that the WC, DT&I, BN, CNW and select others used were angled on the top, whereas the older style is practically a rectangle with no slant. Later it did receive the newer version.
