Under their Gold Line, Walther's offers a fairly nice 63' pulpwood car in most Canadian roadnames. The trouble is only Canadian Pacific owned these cars. The rest of the Canadian roads had a 52.6' car built by Marine Industries with a boxcar style end as opposed to the "V" ends on the Walther's car. Two friends of mine over in nearby Nova Scotia, both brilliant modellers I might add, had already built these cars from Walther's cars. One modified the ends and one didn't. The one who didn't regrets it so I knew I had to do it right. This was actually a pretty easy and straightforward build. I was finished building and painting the first car in a little over three hours and I had the second one done in a little over two. I'm just waiting for the decals to arrive in the mail. I have a few more cars on hand to kitbash, but will be keeping my eyes open for more in the future. This photo shows the size difference.
