Here is Tsunami's decoder for Intermountain locos,TSU-IM1000 GE GEVO-12 (ES44AC/DC) this is a direct plug and play. www.soundtraxx.com/dsd/tsunami/1000im.phpHave a look at WOW sound and Loksound decoders as well, really good decoders.

Pretty sure this engine comes with the 21 pin plug. Your best bet is the Loksound decoder in the 21 pin variety. The only thing to have to solder is the speaker wires.
If you go with a TCS or Soundtraxx 21 pin decoder, you will only have four functions available unless you trash the factory board altogether and hard wire it all in.
Mark.

The sound decoder for the Intermountain GEVOs are the TSU-IM1000 Soundtraxx decoders. The non-sound control-only decoders are the MC-IM84 function decoders, also by Soundtraxx.
