Hi This is a resin shell of an Alco Black Maria, N-Scale of course. It's nearly ready for painting,, if the weather warms up a bit. Cheers Steve

Wow, never expected to see a model of that. Is it built from drawings or photos?

The casting was made by a guy in Hungary. He is a very good modeller and his resin shells are top class. I'm also working (slowly) on a CNJ Babyface Baldwin. It is being rehashed from NYC version babyface shell parts.
This one is close to being painted, but the weather isn't co-operating. To answer your question, I suspect it's made using plans.
Here's one of his models. Cheers Steve

Winter has gone, so I can get back to some painting. The Black Maria is now ready for windows and a few more final details. Cheers Steve NZ

Here is a view of a couple of World War II era Alco Cabs. A New Haven DL-109 and one of the short lived Black Maria 241 test bed units. Cheers Steve

Being a confirmed ALCo-Haulic (!!!), I always love seeing more obscure (to us up here!) and unusual ALCos from around the world. That IS an excellent casting, for N Scale, of course! Carmine

Hi Jim The shells were made by a guy in Hungary. I was lucky enough to get an A-B-A set of shells. They fit on a Life-Like FA-1 chassis. I only built the single unit, so I still have an A-B set of shells if anyone is interested. Cheers Steve
