Hey, I'm needing some input for a painting project I am planning. I model a fictitious railroad, the Ohio Valley Railway, as a part of the Chessie System set in 1975. I am planning on painting a RS11 in Chessie paint but I am wondering about which size of long hood lettering to use. If I use the standard lettering size, it will overlap into the radiator area, should I do this of should I use the smaller switcher lettering which fits on the long hood? I am wondering because the C&O on their RSD12s and RSD7s had their striping extend through the radiator sections. When the radiator shutters were closed you could see the striping, when they were open you couldn't. If I use the standard Chessie lettering, then on the fireman's side the 'em' of system will be on the radiator shutters. On the engineer's side, the Chess-C will be on the radiator shutters. Any input, pros or cons would be helpful. Thanks.
