I usually use Microscale decals, and use microset/microsol to set them. Is Testors setting solution compatible with Microscale decals? Occasionally, I use Highball Graphics too. With them I use Microscale products. Again, I've had no problems thus far. Just interested in your experiences and advice, if you have any. Rudy

Rudy welcome to the site i'm a returning member as to the setting solutions i use walthers solvaset on my decals,
I apply the decals then touch one side only to give the decal some grip after that dries i'll coat the decal surface again to conform the decal
After that is dry i'll look for any micro bubbles gently poke them and with a fine paint brush touch a drop on and let it's set repeat as needed
I've tried the micro sol/set and don't have very good luck with it
As for testors can't help never used it
hope i've helped in some way for you

I second solvaset, but I cut my bottle with 1/4 water, making it safe for delicate decals printed with the Alps.

I am one that has had limited success with MicroSol/Set. I have used Walthers solvaset with some success, I too would recommend cutting it with water for delicate decals. Right now I use Champs Decal set on everything, placed a huge order before they closed and got about 4 bottles of the decal set.

I use Micro-Set UNDER the decal and Solvaset on top and have always gotten consistent excellent results.
Mark.
