Sold to Conrail in Sept. 1976.
Notes:
All units built with EMD Blomberg trucks. Conrail units had the Blomberg
trucks replaced with GE's standard AAR type B trucks prior to delivery.
All units built with 3,250 gallon fuel tanks, except SCL #1835 - 1855
which were built with 2,500 gallon fuel tanks.
Models available:
N scale: Bachmann U36B
HO scale: phase Ia - Athearn U33B*
phase Ib, Ic & Id - Atlas**
phase II - none
* For the later phase I versions you would have to modify the pilot faces
and step wells. i.e. remove the built up area on the pilot and lengthen
the handrail notch.
The Athearn cab headlight casing would have to be modified to the
rectangular version for phases Ia, Ib & Ic.
** Kit-bash: long hood from Atlas U33C/U36C will have to be grafted
unto the Atlas U23B cab/nose/walkway.
