One of the guys from the club gave me an undec kato SD70MAC. Im going to paint it in TFM or my home road New Jersey southern . Either way the NJS would be a TFM paint out as if KCS sold off some of the TFM stuff to my road . I plan on buying a kato KCS SD40-2 to run with it . Ill add a new plow ,horn metal grabs possible rebuild the pilots with scale coupler pockets , and sergent couplers. In all looking to spend at least 30.00 on paint ,parts and a TCS decoder . any body Know what a Kato KCS SD40-2 goes for ?

In my own opinion you should do your own road name, something different that no one else has. What does your paint scheme look like?

Is the freight paint the same color and scheme as the passenger?

Yes they are the same colors . the freight has New Jersey Southern is spelled out on the long hood with NJS on the cab. the passenger is based on the Metro north FL9/10 paint and letter .

I think you should do the SD70MAC in the NJS scheme, you can buy the 70MAC in TFM but you can't but one painted for the NJS...
