Hi, all:
I was wondering if anybody might have drawings of the CLC H-10-64... I'm getting ready to build one and would prefer to work from builder's drawings if they exist. I can do a perspective correction and scale from builders photos, but there's still a high probability of error.
I have checked with CSTM and have copies of the builder's photos, but they don't have any CLC diesel drawings despite a pretty good selection of CLC steam.
It's possible the library at Queens University might have drawings... I'm still trying to determine how to contact them and wondering if they'll have any idea what I'm talking about, LOL.
It's a long shot, I know... but I can't help hoping somebody here has snagged a drawing!
Thanks, all.
Steve

I have several photos, and some articles, with a couple basic dimensions, but have never been able to find a drawing of the CLC prototype. So far only the FM 16-44 early versions, but I know they are differernt

you can try searching Queens University Archives, they have a web sit, but I haven't been able to get it to load anything that works.. not sure if it has to be an in person visit maybe.

Thanks, Jake- yes, my experiences have been similar. I'll have to figure out the best way to deal with Queens, and possibly try to set aside a day or two to run to Kingston.
There's a high possibility the drawings are gone forever, since so many of CLC's files ended up in the Kingston dump before anybody realized what was happening. It's a miracle so much survived the purge after the company closed.

I've sent a detailed inquiry to Queens. Hopefully it'll yield results without needing to run to Kingston to search.

I received a reply from Jeremy Heil atQueens. They have no drawings for these units.
It's possible some may be in the Andrew Merrillees Collection at the National Archives, however very little of his stuff has been catalogued.

Division Point Brass had these units on the board two or three years ago for a run in HO. I don't see anything on the website now so I assume they were canceled but they may have drawings for them.

My Rapido A-1-A GMD-1 mechanism arrived last week and I promptly picked it up...
This is a beautiful piece of work and will make my H-10-64 a nice smooth running, powerful beast. With those big FM/CLC hoods there's lots of room to install weight (and proper sound).
One thing I noticed is that the center idler axles of the prototype are actually idlers on the model too. I was surprised to see that, but it won't affect the unit's tractive effort at all.
I can't wait to get working on this project!
