Luv your layout dude! You captured the look of yard track for sure! Do I detect a sprinkling of history in the form of cinders from the 0-6-0s that used to ply the yard?

Here is one of the first lokeys I painted up in my WOW. It is a first run Atlas RSD5. I wuz gonna stick with EMDs for the road until Atlas dumped that unit on the market back in the early 80s. Well, just had to have one and here it is switching No. Powder on the Mt Hood RR. A very simple paint scheme indeed.

Here is the latest from the Wishram paint shoppes, an older Athearn GP7. I actually detailed this humperdill over 20 years ago and did not get around to finishing her til this August. When detailing, I did not feel like going through the trouble of lowering the high hood. Ahhh well. During the latest process, the old Athearn motor was replaced with one from Canon. I took the scintered iron wheels and polished 'em up considerably and she runs very well. The paint is Floquil which I still have a fair amount on hand. Decals are a mixture of Gary Collins, MS, Champ and Highball. The shot was taken in Milwaukie on the Mt Hood RR.

Thanks for the nice comments gents. The scheme is somewhat more standardized on my EMD's and I'll post some pix of them later. In the mean time, here is a shot of reefer with my RR herald on it so y'all can see it. The 3 mountain peaks represent Oregon's 3 Sisters just west of Bend, OR and are a big landmark as one drives that route, which just also happens to be part of the route of my RR.
I look out my office window at the Sisters every day. As my user name implies, I'm a fan of the Mt. Hood railroad because they've inherited quite a bit of former Milwaukee Road equipment. Same goes for the more local to me Prineville RR.

This is my latest piece of rolling stock completed for WOW. It is kitbashed from an Athearn 50' double door puppy. The plug door I salvaged from a Front Range kit and decals are a combination of various private modeler decal creators. I found a great deal on some Kadee trucks, all of $4 brand new and figured they would be a nice top off to the project.
