Here is a shot of one of my Wishram U-boats, an Athearn U33B. It started as a pretty plain unit which I applied numerous after market details, then painted in my railroads modern scheme. The results of the striping did not please me, so this is a one of kind paint job as you will see with the U28B and ALCo C425 that follow.
Next is a Stewart F3A / B combo at Bridgeport depot on the Mt Hood RR. The pic showed me that I neglected windshield wipers which have subsequently be added.

Don, I think your paint scheme goes to show what I've said before about freelance liveries; variation from model to model makes for greater realism! Your locomotives are clearly from the same railroad, yet they're all different. The size and placement of railroad name and nickname in different locations is especially noteworthy. You've kept the same colours, but varied stripe width, bonnet color etc. Very realistic IMHO. Well done!

Thanks for the nice comments gents. The scheme is somewhat more standardized on my EMD's and I'll post some pix of them later. In the mean time, here is a shot of reefer with my RR herald on it so y'all can see it. The 3 mountain peaks represent Oregon's 3 Sisters just west of Bend, OR and are a big landmark as one drives that route, which just also happens to be part of the route of my RR.

WOW!
Blue text assault... could barely read it.
Your road is well-named and looks cool. I especially like the boxcar!
Scenery is very nice as well.

Nice looking fleet of road units and I like the SP style details. They definitely make a unit stand out in the crowd.

Well, here is a kitbash I completed afore this model was offered by any manufacturer. Although a bit modern for my era, I could not resist turning an Athearn GP50 into a GP60M complete with a brightened paint scheme. This puppy was painted using Floquil Aged White and CNW Green. I don't remember where all the parts came from, but it was a fun "bash". Behind it is a second GP60 of the more conventional style. Another extensive kitbash.

I've always loved the 60's! My freelance Railroad is a bit afore their time.... (1977) I couldn't even do the 50's on mine! I really do like the GP60s. Their distinctive dynamic brakes made them a standout, and EASILY spotted. I do like your paint scheme!

Here are a coupla more pics of my GP0M and GP60 kitbashed from good ol' Uncle Irv GP50s. When viewing the pics I also discovered some missing piping and parts on the 60M underframe. Gotta replace those humperdills.

Hmm, I shall try this puppy again. Here is another Wishram lokey completed awhile back and updated with DCC and operating roof top beacon. She is a standard Athearn Blue Box GP38-2 from Uncle Irv's first release of this puppy and she has lots of added detail and mods. She is awaiting service back to Spokane on the Mt Hood RR.
