I bought this shell so long ago I don't remember why I bought it.I have been using it lately to try different projects so I decided to make something fairly useful of it.Since I don't have a frame for it the loco is currently unpowered ,but I think I have away to get it powered. Anyway here are a few progress shots (with a lot more to do) Fuel tank is scratchbuilt with the airtank recessed like the dash 8-40-C"s except there is only one large cylinder.

GE U-18B project. This unit is a modified Athearn U-28B.It is not totally correct for a U-18B ,but as it is a rebuild it works for me. I know Intermountain does the U-18B but what I have invested in this little fella would not even be a down payment on the IM unit.Besides I prefer to roll my own.

I need to stop by here more often. The upper radiator screens on the AC unit are made from plastic window screen, the lower ones are ATLAS B-23-7 radiator grilles.
