Guys, here is the GP16 that I've been working on for some time now. This model began life as an undecorated P2K GP7 and it received new custom built battery boxes, new Cannon & Co. 36" fans, a chopped nose, new handrail stanchions and handrails and a new cab face taken from a Cannon & Co. cab kit. The Seaboard System Gray is a custom blend of three different Model Master and Floquil colors and the model was decaled with MicroScale decals. This is a model that I have wanted to build for a long time, but I lacked the needed measurements to correctly build the model until a railroad near me bought one and allowed me to take measurements from it. Enjoy!! Bob

Sweet looking unit Bob. Do you have any pictures of the model under construction that you could post?

Very nice build and it sure is nice to know that there are some railroads that understand us modelers and allow us to get the stuff we need to build something like this. This is really a great looking locomotive. I would Email a picture of it to the ones that allowed you on the property to take your measurements.

Always have liked the SBD paint scheme though I don't understand why... maybe growing up around the Southern Pacific has rubbed off on me... Needless to say this is an absolutely beautiful model (can you do anything less??? LOL). Thanks for sharing your work !!![/i][/b]

Bob I love it! You did an outstanding job here. I love anything Seaboard System, as I grew up watching SBD, and Family Lines units pass by the house I grew up in. Please post up more pics of this work of art!!
