So, I've decided to take up another project. This one, however, is one that I am rather unfamiliar with. This is my first -9 that I've done, and I have another one in the works. Please be gentle!
Heritage Orange (Polly Scale) before applying Heritage Green (Polly Scale)
Heritage Green applied. So, I don't think I'll be using that fine-line masking tape, again. Ripped the orange right off.

So, the Heritage I is almost done. Almost all decals have been added, as shown in the photos below. I had to repaint the cab multiple times due to a bad batch of paint and incorrect curvature of the green border on the nose. She's almost done! I hope to debut her at the San Diego Model Railroad Association club in a couple of weeks! All tips and tricks are greatly appreciated!

Hi capnsean520,
Looks like you are off to a great start on the Dash9. What brand of tape did you use on your project? Also who's walkway materials did you use. I have only had the paint peel up like that one me one time before. I found it to be a bad prep job on my part. If you have any other questions. Please ask I will be happy to help you out. After seeing your B-17, I might just have to start mine after I finish my F4U-1D Corsair. Train, Planes, and Red Wings you can't go wrong.

Erik Erik: I believe that brand was Pactra or some other brand. It's original packaging had been gone for quite a while now. Also, I have since used tamiya tape with more satisfying results. I coukd attribute the paint peeling up to a baf prep job on my part, too. Since then, ive had no problems. (Fingers crossed) :-) Sean

Two of my all time favorite planes with the Phantom being the number one pick. I am originally from the Detroit area and a die hard Wolverine fan but it is always nice to see the Wings do well even though I am really not a hockey fan Football is my thing along with racing and trains.
The Dash 9 is looking really good and sorry you had issues with the tape. looks like you got them covered well though with the striping. Looking forward to seeing more of this build because this is not what I would call an easy paint job to do.

Thanks for the encouragement, fellas. Unfortunately, I've been flying my butt off and had to stop working on the Dash 9. Fear not! I shall have some time in June, and should be able to finish her off. Also, my Warbonnet dash 9 should be seeing paint around then, too.
