I know I still haven't finished my M&E C-430, but on the workbench is a project I need to finish within 8 months. Morristown & Erie C-424's 18 & 19 have their 50th birthday in September, so I want to have mine completed before we travel to Morristown. I'm rebuilding the 18 that I made 15 years ago, when the Life-Like model first came out, and building a new 19. I'll post progress in another few months!!! So far I have removed the dynamic brake hatch, replaced the cab and short hood with Atlas parts, and made the usual underframe improvements. Before the details get applied, it'll get a new long hood end and updated hood doors and engine air intake area. This one will become M&E 18 and the other will be 19. As mentioned in another thread, 18 will get as much of a cab interior as I can fit, including the open door and windows. Cheers Steve

Keep us posted. I presume since you're using Life Like models this is an N-scale build...how do the LL Centuries run?

Remember, when removing dynamics, you need to blank out some side grills.

Hi The Life-Like C-424's run very well, typical of split frame models. Thanks Randy, I will remember to fill in the air intakes, and build a cab floor. Cheers Steve

Hi Here's an update of M&E 18. A lot to do before being painted, and I still have no decals!!
18 now has a full (ish) cab interior, including electrical cabinet, control stand, radio, fire extinguisher and 3 seats for the crew.
As you can see, it wasn't completed in time for 18 & 19s 50th birthday.
Cheers Steve NZ
