I wish it did not take you so long to upload them to YouTube so we could have some new videos but I understand. The reason why

I believe I am coming back around to putting this all up on Youtube. To produce a DVD, I need to get the video quality better. Meaning the presentation and lighting. So I think this one will also go up on Youtube.
Also, I reach a larger audience with Youtube. I really enjoy the emails and comments I receive. It is a lot of encouragement and keeps my modeling fresh. The support I get from fellow modelers means a lot to me.
So depending on the heat in the garage tonight, I may get the first couple done and put them up tomorrow.

First one is up. About four or five more will be up tomorrow.
Questions are just fine.

Something else to think about is possibly only doing video on certain specific detailing topics! Such as adding a cannon sub base, nose and cab? I've got a few friends who are wanting to get into detailing and I'll show them some of your videos, then they have more questions and then the " I'm.not sure if I'm ready for this " comes out. Your YouTube vids are awesome and are thoroughly helpful in building confidence but shortening some of the topics can confuse the novice modeler or even someone who may want to stretch there legs a bit more! Either way keep up the great work!!!!

riss2509,
That is a VERY good idea. Although in this video series, you will see a full assembly of each part. Not just an explanation, but everything from cutting th eparts from the sprue, cleaning them and assembly.

Is the video really narrow or is it Google Chrome?

I am trying to figure that out Randy. I have no idea why it is coming out narrow like that. When I play the file on my computer and my work computer is shows up just fine. But when I play it from Youtube, it is all narrow and such. Something Youtube is doing during the upload I guess, but I cannot find a way to contact Youtube and ask why.
If anyone has any idea of what is causing this, please inform me so I can fix it. I am not going to upload anymore until I figure this out.

I tried Internet Explorer and it was narrow there also. That SD40-2 frame looks like a switcher frame in that vid.
I uploaded a video of my cat, and the picture seems cut off on the sides, but the aspect looks okay.

I just do not know. My original film is just fine. It is the uploading to youtube that is squishing the sides in. The DVD I made is perfect also. it is only when I upload it to Youtube that it comes out crappy like that.
Appears I will not be doing a youtube series after all unless I can figure this out.

I am at a loss. After looking at my Youtube video manager, I see that the last four videos are all compressed in the width.
Oh well. Nothing I can do. Sorry folks.

Go back into the video manager, and install this code in the TAGS box. yt:stretch=16:9 Then don't forget to save it. I did it to my video, and it worked Brian.

OK, so this has to be done when I UPLOAD the video. Not after it has already been loaded.

Nope, sorry Randy. My mistake. It does work.
Thanks. I will reload the first video tonight again. I deleted it out of frustration. Thanks for the tip.

No, you can edit existing videos and put that code in the tags section.
I just uploaded this video from my computer and I used that code also.

i see youtube changed a few things last night into today. You used to be able to choose what size you wanted to view the video, now its all hidden and you need to figure it out. They default it on the smallest setting too.

Well Randy helped me figure out the problem, but unfortunately I deleted teh video out of frustration. Now I am uploading it and I am on hour #4 waiting for youtube to process it. Last night it only took 2 hours to upload and about a half hour to process it. So the other four will have to wait until MOnday to get uploaded. Tomorrow I am off to the RPM show in Virginia for the weekend.
