I finally achived success with getting the technique down for making chipped and worn paint on handrails.
Take a look at the last picture on page 6 of my CNJ build on my web site and you will see what I am refering to.

Yep,
Born in Waukegan. Grew up in Libertyville and now live in Lake Villa. Although I did take a break from Illinois and lived in Arizona for 14 years.

Brian,
How is your SDP45 Project coming along? You have done some fantastic work. I like the SD45-2 EL/CR Paintout. Can't wait to see more of the "RED BARON"

Funny you mention the SDP45. It was just today that I started thinking about getting into that project. It is in the planning stages in my head. I would like to build an EL bicentennial SDP45 in CONRAIL paint out.
I know how to do the frame and hood, I just need to strategically plan the deck splicing.

Thanks.
Tonight and this weekend I will finish painting the handrail sets and then next week I get to get started on the job of weathering. That is probably going to take me a couple months to get done with, so in the mean time I will get started on another project or two.
