I have a couple N scale GE projects in the works right now.First one is a CQ30-7 to be followed by a BQ23-7.The locos are KATO and ATLAS respectively.Imwill be starting with the CQ. This pic shows the piece I glued to the bottom of the cab front to close the gap between cab and pilot deck .This piece is roughly .020" thick and I cut it from sheet stock. Second pic shows the spacers I glued to the walk way to help keep the cab setting straight on the walk way. There are two tabs on each side that need to be trimmed to allow the cab to sit flat on the battery boxes. You can see the two on the engineers side. The SW cabsides are thicker tghannthe KATO or you could just use them for side to side cab alignment. The pieces are cut a little shorter than the inside dimention of the cab and glued in from the edge the width of the cab shell. Now if I could only remember what I did with the long hood. If you are interested in the cab(s) you can find them here www.shapeways.com/shops/boxcarmodels

The cab being designed to fit the ATLAS B23-7 needs some reworking (nothing serious) to work on the KATO C30-7. Here is a current progress pic, strip tank for the long hood tomorrow.

First pic of the BQ23-7.Now I need to decide just how much detail I want to put on these units as both will a lot of time at shows running on my show layout so they will be handled quite abit.
