Good day all,
I am working on a CN&W GP-18 done in the 1776 paint. The fuel tank on the P2K tank (GP18) is not correct. It look to be the tank from a GP-20. The air tanks are mounted above the fuel tank, unlike the GP18 which have the twin tanks behind the fuel tank.
Does any one have an extra GP20 tank in their box of tresures, or were do I go to find one?
Thanks
Laurence

are you looking for a set like on the athern units, or from a proto gp9?

Hmm, while I don't have the parts, I think WC#3026 is looking for the later style GP20 fuel and air tanks for his GP18. Some later GP9 and GP18 units were built with this style rather than the typical arrangement found on the P2K GP18's. www.whrc-wi.org/Craig/vin1a.htmOne may be able to get away with using the GP7 or GP9 torpedo tube tanks under the frame, and a P2K GP20 or GP30 fuel tank (IIRC the tank profile is the same).

Yes. That is correct. Your attached link shows the unit I am working on. I have a proto GP20 an the tank looks to be very close to what I need. I just need the tank and do not know where to look for P2K parts, or if someone has one they don't need.
Thanks for help, Laurence

Still looking for a GP20 fuel tank, Laurence? I have three GP20s that are parts sources, I'm sure I can rob the fuel tank off of one.
