Here are some pics of my all brass steam roster. My layout is Western Pacific during the steam era. I would model Squaw Creek but my RSD15 doesnt like my curves right now. Maybe in the future. First up is the star of my layout, she is a late run PFM/United WP 2-8-2 heavy mikado. I remotored using a Canon EN22 on a custom bracket, curently has a MRC steam sound decoder and speaker, all mounted within the locomotive. I hate having all kinds of extra wires going to the tender. I also painted and decaled the model. Next up is an early run PFM/United Southern Railroad PS4 Pacific. I got this as a basket case but for a really good price. Only part missing was the special screw assembly that mounts the boiler to the cylinder block, then the pilot truck mounted to the special screw. So, I used a standard screw to hold it all together, and fabricated a swing arm to mount the pilot truck to the bottom plate on the frame. I then stripped the hideous black paint and repainted in proper Sylvan green. Last up is a Nickel Plate Products NKP L1a Hudson, pro painted, lighted, Seuthe Smoke unit, runs super smooth and quiet, and it has its original open frame motor. Its for sale right now.

Great looking Locos ,did you do the install of the decoder/speaker in the Wp 2-8-2? I,m thinking the 2-8-2's and mabye the Mountain would sound super nice. Great loking Locos. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, the decoder is mounted to the top of the motor, the speaker with enclosure is ACC glued to the back side of the boiler weight above the gear box. Works great with no wiring to the tender. I might be persuaded to part with the 2-8-2 as I am getting back into a "diesel" kick, I even have a brass outside braced caboose(unpainted). I have a few models I would like to get, such as an Alco models GE U25 to do up in BN, Oriental Limited GP7 low nose and a SW1500 to put into either BN or IHB. Mike
