Bought a digitrax decoder for my kato c44 { came with no motor legs } e mailed digitrax their reply was
it does not come with the two legs take them off the old lightboard ? i replied why the hell would i want to do that it would leave the old board useless { to which i got no reply } ended up e mailing kato
the nice folks at kato are sending me two legs for free NOW THATS SERVICE
so buyer beware
also digitrax feedback on sound from their speaker is not great
dont know if mrc is any better ?
thats my ten cents my two cents are free

I placed the new MRC 1713 into a Kato SD70 and used a MRC 8 ohm speaker #1513 it sounds great and I have had no issues. The decoder comes with a speaker but it was a bit too big for the body.

In my experience, the MRC sound decoders are a cheap alternative. They sound OK.... You don't get the motor control of TCS or Lok-Sound, or the sound of Soundtraxx. Like others have said, you get what you pay for!
