Hi Everyone,
I am looking for any photo's, that anyone is willing to share of a SW6,8,9 cab interior. It can be any road. I am modeling a Erie Lackawanna unit so if you have any from a EL unit great. But I am looking for the general layout of a SW cab interior.
Thanks in advance for any help! Erik

Here's a couple pictures, both from ex-ATSF SSB1200's. The first one is an ex-AMTK locomotive with its original 1970's control stand, and the second is a current AMTK locomotive with its updated modern control stand. Both show the location of the brake wheel, and note that the second one has a cab heater in front of the engineer's seat. Also, I have this diagram for an SW600 that shows the floor plan of the cab: i755.photobucket.com/albums/xx195/rudystrains/Website%20Stuff/Miscellaneous/Diagrams/1953-10-06_EMD_SW600.jpgI have access to three SSB1200's if you need more specific photos.

A photo is worth a thousand words. But a video is worth more. What your looking for is at about 26:00.

In case anyone wanted to know, the "Big Switch" in the cellar is the reverser, which on that vintage of EMD is air operated as are the power contactors. The button on the end of the throttle is depressed only when you want to push throttle past idle to the off/shut down position. There are no notches in that type of throttle set up on a NW or SW type locomotive. If unit had MU then see my SW9 cab picture. After aprox 1954 the throttle stand looked like the first cab, about 1957 the air brake equipment changed from the 6BL in my cab pictures to the 26L that is in the first shot Erik posted.
