Hi all, I was just wondering if any of you have any tips on how to fill in the notches on the back a C630. I am trying to make a CP Rail MLW C630M. I have the Miniatures by Eric C630 rear body end, but it is wider than the Stewart shell. TIA, Richard

Thanks for the idea PEIR. I had a set of them and they fit not to bad. A little putty and some sanding and I should have it. When you mentioned the MBE parts, I remembered I had a set of them. Thanks for the input.

Yes, I'm going to use the PMI truck kit for it. I just have to order them. As for pictures, none yet. Hope to get some soon of it.

Just found this forum and have some info that may be useful on this subject...
I recently did a CP RS18u (nearly completed) using an Atlas RS11 and the PMI low nose and cab assembly. To fill in the notches at the rear, I cut the corners from the now discarded short hood and sanded them to fit and then cemented them in place. I have never used the MBE parts, but figured that any sanding while on the shell may preferentially remove the plastic. I was happy with the results after filling the gap at the top with styrene and a little filling and sanding.
Atlas corners on Atlas shell OK - what next.
My discarded short hood had enough material left for me to make notches for the rear of a Stewart C630 that I am converting to a C630M. Surprisingly (to me) the Atlas corners to Stewart shell gave the correct corner profile as well.
