I started building my next Dash 9, an Athearn C44-9W. This is going to become a NS C40-9W unit #9137. I plan on adding lighting as well as DCC to it. It will be re-powered with a Proto Power West motor. The prototype: My progress so far: I do need to change the front headlight housing to one with the lower visors and finish adding more detail to the cab and pilots. Then I can paint it and work on the frame detail.

Thanks guys! I managed to switch out the headlight to the correct style and am working on finishing the pilot detail. What does everyone use for brackets on the coupler bars? I have some Railflyer GE ones.

Used to use the brackets that came with the DA parts I used but now I think I will use lift rings as I can handle them better and can actually see them.
