Group,
I'm looking for some instruction on how to make a chop nosed version of EJ&E / Missabe SD-M (SD9/18 chop nose) using an Athearn or LL P2K SD9.
The Missabe SDM's had a level plain on the nose (not sloped). The old quickie way to make thse was grafting on a TYCO GP20 nose and cab.
What about an SD 24 cab and nose from Atlas?
Any help would be appreciated.

The difference is a chopped high short hood by the railroad vs a sloped short hood from EMD, whether GP20, SD24. "The old quickie way" would be a better way to describe the process of giving the old Atlas/Roco SD24 (HH only) a low short hood not offered until the Atlas/China version came along
