This is an old Bachman GP40 that I started work on. /camera564fo4.th.jpgIt came from a train set that my dad bought me as a kid about 20 years ago. It has sentimental value which is the reason I an working with it. It started out as an union Pacific locomotive, and was painted some years ago. As you all can tell, it was with a brush and looks bad. The shell is bound for the stripper. So far, I am in the process of repowering it with an Atlas power chassis, and already have the frame modified to fit. I still need to grind some on the weights. I will use parts from Railflyer including new steps, pilots, and tread plate. I will also use Cannon & Company cab, short hood, long hood end, inertial blower duct, fans, radiator grills, inertial screens and hatch. I will repaint it in its Chessie scheme to represent the last locomotive I've seen in the Chessie scheme. Thanks for looking.
