If you were going to use RailFlyer tread plates and on a Atlas GP38/40 frame keeping the existing sills, would you keep the lay the treadplate over it and if so does the existing wakway need to be sanded smooth?
If you planned to replace the side sill with RF side sill would you just fabricate a walkway, lay the tread plate over it and attach the side sill to the fabricated walkway?
The Atlas sill part is extremely thin and Iwas wondering what the best approach would be if I wanted to use both the RF sill sides and tread plates.
