I received my 3 new TP&W RTR GP35s recently. There is nothing new about these units that is different than the previous runs I have. The white on the handrails is a bit thin in a few areas but will be OK when I weather a bit. They run well after a break in , just like is expected. They make a nice addition to the fleet.
One unit had a light board that caused the motor to run hot and blew out all 4 light bulbs. I sent a note to Athearn requesting replacement on Thursday. I received the parts on Saturday! This was way better than I expected. Their parts department has always been nice to deal with and I appeciate their efforts.
