I have used brake fluid before to remove paint, however, if you ever have a Kato model to do, don;t use brake fluid if you can avoid it, I have found that it corrodes the plastic if used to much.

That is a huge engine and a rough shell to be rebuilding. So far it looks like your off to a great start. Are you planning on replacing stuff like fans, maybe the cab/nose/subbase with Cannon parts?

Hi all I'm glad you like the beginning of this reconstruction, in fact I have 3 shell model and the one shown in the pictures is what was missing and with less damage.
now with the issue by replacing some parts of Cannon & Company will not do it because I had a bad experience when buying this parts on the official website and never came to my home and unfortunately, these parts are not available in the market in Argentina.
now wanted to ask them if there are any similar color to the UP in the marks tamiya or hummbrol brands that are the easiest to get here in Argentina.
Greetings to all from Argentina and sorry for my English if I could not explain well

Looks like a good start. Those older Athearns are interesting to work with.
While I'm not sure of any exact match, you might be able to get away with mixing your own. Over time, the yellow on a lot of UP engines faded, so depending on the time period you might have some leaway.
