Here is a photo of a Central RR of New Jersey GP7 that John Bezuyen painted for me recently. I may have posted it before but here it is again. I needed to post to keep my account active. Photo by Southern Tier Models Matt

lol - I consider this as spam!
just kidding ;-) I remember the mail saying "recently" - so I guess Randy will check who wasn't active for about 3 months and kick those dudes out - not you.
BTW - nice unit, we are working on one of those ex CNJ units for NJ dot - actually we are limited to early 1980, but the disco scheme is so hot, were thinking of doing an exception on this one ;-)

Nice job on the CNJ paint! The square housing is for a train lighting generator. In the steam era, coach lighting was battery powered. An axle generator charged them. In commuter service, the batteries didn't get enough charing time. The generator was lighting, but not heating head end power. I am working on Front Range GP7s for B&M. They had the lighting boxes too. I believe C&NW had commuter geeps with lighting generators too.
