Tanks Perry for sharing, I already clicked my self through the complete gallery you linked at the atlas forum - very good work!
I especially love all that piping and stuff for that petrochemical industry ... gives me much of inspiration! Something like more or less similar is in plans here and will be started in 2009 to be ready for shows in 2010

Very interesting, when I initially saw it, I figured it was some grain belt railroad...LOL Very well done! The best thing when designing your freelance road is the aspect of reality and he got it done!

that is a nice looking unit. I see that he modified the Southern paint scheme, maybe that is why I like it. lol what green paint did he use, it is a really nice deep green.

riss2509: I haven't started on the GP40X right now, I'm working on my SD40-2 project, but I'll get to it!
Denis: Thanks so much! It was a lot of fun to switch that out all weekend!
Smoke: He used a paint made by Sherwin Williams and had it mixed in a 1 gallon can. A lot of model car guys use this paint. Even though it cost $47.00 bucks for 1 gallon, it's cheaper than buying a small bottle for $5.00! I'll have to ask what color it is though.

Hi, ya'll...
I stumbled over the ACRY unit reading the various threads on this group since I too am a freelancer. I designed this paint scheme and did the artwork for Mr. Archer a couple years ago. It was very nice to see the finished unit. When I was asked to do the design, the first thing that came to mind was a shortline here in the South that knocked off the old Southern colors, called the Great Walton County RR. The other part of the idea was the Soo Line Colormark logo with the shocks of wheat.
How many units were done ? I sent him some ideas for grain cars also. I have to say, Mr. Archer did a fine job on the model! Thanks for posting the pictures!
