So, over the last year inbetween projects, I've been working away at a GP38-2 and a GP50. I also have the GP38-2 that the headlights got melted, a frame with the short fuel tank and at least 2 bottles of the blue from the blue gatx. So instead of redoing the melted unit into another BNSF unit, I'm rebuilding it into an EMDX GP38-2. #761 I'm thinking, but I'm not 100% sure of the number, but I think that one is good: www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=2154838Now, I need parts to complete these projects, but for now I will work on the frames, and what I do have parts for this week.

No, and no unfortunately. But I see them a lot and would love to model one.
Sam.

So, I went to the Timonium show last month and scored a P2k GP38-2 for $30, so I can now commit that Athearn GP 38-2 to be EMD 792. I'm pretty much stalled again with life being somehow more important that trains. -but I think I'll at least start the prep work for this and a few others since I'm not doing anything else. If I finish the GP38-2 rebuild and the GP50 I can place all the units (just a few #s off) in an HO consist! www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1553941

ok, I've switched back to a number I picked previously, 770, BUT, I'm starting this and the GP50 and maybe even another BB as it's club tomorrow nite and I may just want to sit and grind off BB shells before I go! I will also seriously try to finish BNSF2008 as I did some work to it.
I want to see if I cut thin strips of electrical tape and glue them onto the cab door to simulate the refridge door gasket. I'll try it on a tyco shell first to see how it looks. pics of that tomorrow!
