Hi Guys!
Picked up this undecorated Athearn SD50 for 49 bucks and have been working on doing it up as a Hudsons Bay Ry one. I swapped the cab for a Cannon one and still have some work to go yet but decided to put up some "in progress" shots. I added some detail to the cab interior (seats, rear wall, engineers control panel) but am just waiting to get some figures before I close it up and add the handrails. Then some weathering and she'll be ready to pull some cars! This is my first deisel detailing effort since 1977 so I think I still need to work on some techniques but this is the best place to get advice I think!
Cheers!
Doug

Doug, That's a good looking model. If you need anyone info or help on these engines. I have two real SD50 HBRs on my property, 5008 and 5009. If you truly want to model these engines properly, just pull their motor and sit them in front of your enginehouse. That's where mine seem to always sit.
