Lighting Storm that is! I've finally gotten my self together to work on my Atlas RS-1's this summer, Considering the amazing amount of prototype photo's I recently found. I'll probably be getting money together for parts, details, decals, and tools in the next week or two.. If It wasn't clear enough, these will be NYC RS-1's, from the 8100 series, before the renumbering towards the end of the Central's life. I currently have a model of 9910, which may become 8103, either in lighting stripe, or this scheme which I found.. I also have an older atlas model, of 8101, already in lighting stripe, however the casting will be receiving new handrails and grab irons, as well as lift rings and so on, to bring up-to-par with the other RS-1's. I own a NYNH&H RS-1 as well, though considering the paint scheme it's in, It'll either join the NYC, or will be re-sold to purchase two more RS-1's. (It has DCC installed and little run time, so for what I paid, I could make a pretty penny) Hopefully this will go well, and I'll be able to find information on this site as well as others. Just these engines alone will be a long project, but it'll ready me for the other projects laying ahead, Like fixing the rear truck on my Proto GP30....... I'll keep everyone updated as I begin this project, and through out the course of it. Hopefully finishing the first unit will make the rest flow easier....Wish me luck! Cheers
