I have this one here some time now, It turned out good on the weathering, but has a big error made by Proto 2000!!! The loco never had a hood light ... I didn't care about this detail otherwise I would have changed the nose before weathering .. but now it's done and I'm too lazy to rework it ... In general I would say the Loco is of quite good detail and quality.. but the error with the light !%+#&? Antenna had to be added and the Horn was corrected to the correct location. Food boards on the pilots have been removed and the holes closed. The wheelslip modulators btw are from the Proto 2k RS27 .. I ordered them as "spares" because the truck side frames are the same and the RS27 has this nice detail out of the box which was missing on the U28B. Break chain and speed recorder have been added as well ... cheers

@stephen aka PIER: I thought about this, but it wouldn't be correct either ... check this prototype picture and you know what I mean: crcyc.railfan.net/locos/ge/u28/cr2822cf.jpgBut thanks anyways .. always good getting reminded what's available on the market :-) @ Randy: Thanks! I have seen you have been dealing as well with the P2k and modified it to a HH. To sad about the nose light with mine, otherwise it'll be an outstanding model ... Let's see if I will have the chance to change this one day...

STEPHEN!
now you might imagine how I feel having this unit right in front of me looking decent on the weathering but having such a big error....
Let's see, next time I get it into my hands and I have to remove the hood, I'll probably cut off the 2nd LED inside and remove the light ... I first re-work my B23-7's for the moment
