Here's a stock RTR bulkhead that I added a load to. The load is meant to simulate steel rod, like rebar. It is made from leftover braided copper strands from an old dryer plug. I simply cut to length, primered, painted (slightly), then hit it with weathering powders. The load rests on balsa strips, and I tried to make a few of the timbers look old and new.......they dont last forever. Finally, I added some DA chain to tie the load down. I'm sure nowadays they'd use cable, or steel straps of some sort, but this is what I had laying around. www.fourrocksmodelworks.com/resources/DSCF1934.3.jpgwww.fourrocksmodelworks.com/resources/DSCF1935.3.jpgwww.fourrocksmodelworks.com/resources/DSCF1933.3.jpgThe beauty is that the load adds a nice amount of weight, and it was all free!!!
